Sakura Gala
Our annual spring fundraising dinner in support of future generations at Nikkei Place.
During this evening, we highlight inspiring heroes from the Japanese Canadian community through our Thomas Shoyama Lifetime Achievement Award. Past awardees include Dr. David Suzuki, Joy Kogawa, and Arthur Hara, among others.
We also support the potential of future generations by awarding our Nikkei Youth Athletics Bursary.

Swing into action and support the health and well-being of seniors!
Funds raised support Nikkei Seniors Health Care & Housing Society, funding vital programs that serve over 270 seniors per week.
Nikkei Matsuri
One of the Largest Japanese Festivals in Canada!
This 2-day annual summer festival at Nikkei Centre has something for everyone, at any age, and aims to showcase the pride of Japanese culture here in Canada.
It draws in over 14,000 people, and brings all of the elements of visiting a ‘matsuri’ (festival) in Japan to our backyard here in Burnaby.
Nikkei Awards Dinner
This awards dinner honours community members, groups, and organizations that have made significant and outstanding contributions to the Nikkei Community in Canada.
Designate your donation towards different funds
Donations can be designated to specific funds. When making your donation to a fund, please ensure you make a memo of the fund on your donation form or cheque.
