Nikkei Seniors Health Care and Housing Society cares for seniors with supportive housing and engaging programs
Help seniors live, laugh and age gracefully in place
Independence, Respect, Dignity, Privacy, Choice
These are the five cornerstones of adulthood that are too often forgotten when the time comes to face the changes in lifestyle that are a natural part of aging. While many seniors maintain a degree of independence well into their later years, there comes a time when some level of support is needed—with the need generally increasing over time.
At Nikkei Place, two seniors’ residences (operated by Nikkei Seniors Health Care and Housing Society) provide housing options for seniors with varying degrees of independence.
Nimi Nikkei Home is an assisted living apartment building for residents aged 55+. While residents have a large degree of independence in day-to-day living, trained, qualified staff offer personal support and care 24 hours a day.
New Sakura-so is a housing complex for independent seniors aged 55+, who are able to care for themselves without supervision.
Keeping Seniors Engaged + Connected
Seniors at Nikkei Place have easy access to events, programs and services at the Kenko Wellness Lounge and Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, homestyle Japanese food at Hi-Genki restaurant, groceries and snacks at the Suzuya convenience store, and a beautiful Japanese-style garden.
